An investor bought 67 acres of land south of the Las Vegas Strip for $60 million. Like countless other properties around town, it was once eyed for a big project that never materialized. In 2006, a developer wanted to build an 80,000-seat stadium and a 25,000-seat arena on the land at Las Vegas Boulevard and Blue Diamond Road. A decade later, the landowner pitched the site as a possible home for the Raiders football stadium. The NFL team bought another property 4 miles away.
