We chat with Mitchell Tenpenny at Stagecoach music festival! He plays music with his brother and tells us he collects guns. We discuss his collaboration with King Calaway and hanging out with Old Dominion! He was born in Nashville, Tennessee on August 17, 1989 and is grandson to Dolly Hilley. Tenpenny got his start in music towards the end of college, as he was intending to play football, but ended up getting a degree in music business. This would later prove to be worthy, as Tenpenny began writing, producing and making music. In 2015, Tenpenny released his first debut album titled “Black Crow” which would feature many big bands including The Steeldrivers, Bluegrass band and Nick Fradiani. The Top 10 song he co-wrote "If the Boot Fits", recorded by Granger Smith. He signed a publishing deal with Sony ATV Music Publishing Nashville. Things are looking good for this country star.
