You might think you clean up well at home and you have a good level of hygiene in your most personal of spaces. Yet its highly likely that you've got some unwanted dirt and bacteria developing in the most unlikely of places. And we're often too lax if it's not a mess that's directly obvious to all our senses. But consider the following places and spaces which could be dirtier than you think. 1. Keys - An item you handle everyday, that touches many surfaces and you've never probably thought of cleaning 2. Remote Controls - Similarly and more profoundly dirty as these are likely used by many member of your household 3. Sponges and scrubbers - These are items you'll wash with but will seldom be washed by themselves 4. Washing machine - Again, one that washes but is never washed. An untreated washer is likely riddled with limescale and mould on the inside 5. Light switches - Touched by many and so mundane a feature that they never get much attention from anything cleaner than your fingers 6. Cell phones, tablets and computers - You tinker on these devices day after day, but may foget they need a good and regular swipe with a disinfectant wipe 7. Grocery bags, handbags and rucksacks - All sorts of bags where there's a mix of personal effects are likely to be adversely affected in a hygienic sense
