This landlocked country has been influenced by various cultures which have all left their mark; to the delight of those who visit what is now one of Eastern Europe's most popular travel destinations. Eger, the second city houses fortresses and castles from all those that have invaded and occupied Hungary, as well as beautiful religious artefacts. Near the border with Slovakia is Baradla Cave and the Aggtelek National Park. The caves stretch for 15 miles and details the lives of the regions earliest settlers.
