Chinese mom forces flight to wait for shopaholic daughter

BANGKOK — "An air passenger from China pissed off a plane full of people after forcing them to wait for shopaholic daughter.

According to Beijing News, the dastardly duo were meant to be on a 3:30 a.m. Spring Airlines flight from Bangkok to Shanghai on May 15, along with about 160 other passengers.

Mommy dearest had arrived at the boarding gate and tried to stall the flight for her daughter, who was still duty free shopping at the airport.

Footage taken at the scene shows an airline worker talking to the woman, who is seen sitting on the jet bridge just outside the aircraft — probably to prevent crew from shutting the plane door.

Spring Air told the Daily Mail that the unreasonable passenger claimed her darling daughter called airport police to demand that the plane wait for her.

Needless to say, the passengers already inside the plane were furious, and can be seen in a clip complaining to the cabin crew, who tried their best to calm them down.

Little Miss Shopaholic and mom gave up their trip in the end, but by then the four-hour Spring Air flight had already been delayed for 30 minutes. It arrived in Shanghai past 9 a.m., more than an hour behind schedule.

The story trended on Chinese social media, with netizens calling for the badly behaving pair to be blacklisted by the Chinese National Tourism Administration, which has punished tourists for anything from chucking boiling water at a flight attendant to throwing a coin in the plane engine for luck.
