Sally Challen freed after retrial dropped

Sally Challen has been freed after her murder conviction was reduced to manslaughter at the Old Bailey. Mrs Challen spent nearly a decade in jail for killing her abusive husband in a hammer attack. A senior judge at the Old Bailey ruled that she will not face a retrial, after she plead guilty to manslaughter with diminished responsibility. Report by Etemadil.
