Monsoon likely to end June with a deficiency of 30-35%, says GP Sharma of Skymet

The weather gods may be smiling, but they are not beaming. The met department says that while the monsoon has covered almost half the country, rainfall has been 37 percent below normal so far this month. Now this is better than last week's deficit of 44 percent, but it's still not good news for a monsoon-dependent economy.
