Featuring Kids Get More Views According to Pew Research Center, videos
that star kids under 13 years old generate
three times more viewing attention. For the report, Pew observed videos made during
the beginning of this year from YouTube channels
with over a quarter million followers. Pew Research Center, via report Pew's report come amid an investigation by the FTC
into YouTube's practices regarding its
treatment of children online. YouTube has made some changes, such as
banning comments on almost all videos with
kids under 13 years old. The company's terms of service recommend that YouTube not be used by anyone under the age of 13. In the meantime, the company offers YouTube Kids for younger viewers, a video app it released in 2015.
