Hello I'm Michelle Park here with the latest weather update.
Tropical storm Francisco is expected to pass right through the peninsula this week.
The 8th typhoon of the season is forecast to land on the country's southern coast and then track its course up across the Chungcheong-do Provinces and exit the peninsula through Gangwon-do Province and towards the East Sea by Wednesday evening.
The storm is expected to impact the country directly with strong winds.
The southeast coastal regions and some eastern parts of Gangwon-do Province will be hit with up to 200 millimeters of precipitation.
The capital and the west coast of the country can expect between 5 and 60 millimeters of rain.
The typhoon is expected to bring more hot air to the peninsula tomorrow,... especially in the northern region of the country,... effectively intensifying the heatwave we are bracing now.
We will have to endure another tropical night as Seoul is expected to wake up to 27 degrees Celsius on Tuesday,... Busan to 26 and Jeju to 25 degrees.
Heatwave warnings are currently in effect in most parts of the country, with Seoul reaching 37 degrees Celsius and Chuncheon 36.
After the storm has passed, temperatures are expected to drop a couple of notches, giving us a break from the unbearable heat.
I'll leave you with the weather conditions around the world.
