A clash between protesters demonstrating against a convention of prison operators in town and a group of counter-protesters roiled Boylston Street (August 4) in Boston, Massachusetts.
The March Against Cages protesters then chased the counter-protesters from the Boston Public Library to the Massachusetts Avenue T station. The two groups went nose-to-nose on several occasions, though no physical violence broke out, aside from a hat being knocked off someone’s head.
During the peaceful protest, protestors shouted "close the camps" to speak out against what event organizers are calling human rights violations at ICE detention facilities.
