MANILA, Philippines – Former Manchester United players are in Myanmar for a charity match. They went up against the Myanmar National League and the Myanmar senior team in a friendly match aimed at drawing attention to the country’s democratic reforms after nearly five decades under strict military rule. Current and former Myanmar football players were thrilled for the opportunity to meet the players. According to the Myanmar Football Federation, all proceeds will go to the Buddhist monastic education, local hospitals, and HIV rehabilitation efforts. -- Mornings @ ANC, June 10, 2013
