Srinagar’s Fresh Lease of Life: City Hospital Gets New Blood Bank

The GB Pant Children’s Hospital in Srinagar has got a new blood bank, which has provided much needed relief to local residents.

The Jammu and Kashmir government has ensured that this blood bank is equipped with state-of-the-art facilities, including machines, refrigerators and comfortable chairs where patients can donate their blood with confidence and patients or their families can procure blood within minutes free of cost. This blood bank has a capacity to store up to 400 units of blood.
The previous blood bank in the hospital had got damaged in the 2014 floods.
