Japanese world record swimmer Mieko Nagaoka was seen training with her son Hiroyuki Nagaoka in Yanai Swimming school, Yanai city, Yamaguchi prefecture, Japan.
The 103-year-old swimmer, who took up the sport at the age of 82, holds the 1,500 metre freestyle record in her age category. With another race near at hand, the swimmer trains twice a week in the hopes of more success.
She admits that the key to her training routine is “eating well" and "exercise."
"Trying [to do] my best," Nagaoka added modestly.
