Hong Kong protesters take cover behind barricades as police fire tear gas

A protest march in Hong Kong's Tsuen Wan and Kwai Tsing turned violent on Sunday (August 25).

After an initially peaceful march, major clashes occurred, with protesters throwing bricks, bottles and molotov cocktails at police lines, who were firing tear gas, rubber bullets and pepper balls.

Police also fired live rounds at one point, according to filmer and local photojournalist Dave Coulson.

Protesters dispersed once police mobilised two water cannon vehicles.

Video also shows protesters running from advancing police during clashes in Tsuen Wan after a march that had started from Kwai Fong.
