As more and more people are choosing smaller living spaces, large, formal dining rooms are on the wane. As such, Business Insider reports more people are starting to host dinner parties outdoors. It's easy to entertain outdoors! First, pick a theme and find dinnerware to match it. Play with lively, tropical colors for a bright, vibrant look or set a more sophisticated mood with mellow or darker hues Next, figure out what dishes you need. Melamine plates and shatterproof drinkware are excellent options. Use natural elements like garlands or small vases of flowers to decorate. Light with string lights, or candles in hurricane vases. Finally, drape a blanket over the back of each chair, or add a pillow to each seat so people can truly relax.
