Ganesh Chaturthi falls on the 4th day after the new moon in the Hindu month of Bhadrapada. The festival starts on 2 September 2019 and extends over 11 days. On Ananta Chaturdasi ( last day), the statues are paraded through the streets, followed by singing and dancing, and then Visarjan (immersed in the ocean or other bodies of water) is performed. Watch this video on Boldsky to know the reason behind Lord Ganesha’s immersion.
