MANILA - A former member of the Philippine Azkals was not spared in Tuesday's monster floods. Magallanes Village president Armand del Rosario said he moved his family to his sister-in-law's house after his own house was hit by chest-high floods. "It's still under water. I was luckily able to get my family out by lunchtime. I have been in and out. In our house, it's about chest-deep. It's receded slightly but with the rain, I think it's going to go back up later in the evening," he told ANC. Del Rosario said the flood hit a majority of Magallanes village, forcing some residents to take shelter in hotels or the homes of friends. He compared Tuesday's deluge to the flood during Tropical Storm Ondoy in 2009. "It's as bad as Ondoy," he said.
