MANILA – FEU guard RR Garcia has been suspended for one game after being called for a second unsportsmanlike foul in the UAAP Season 76 men’s basketball tournament. Garcia, a former league MVP, was caught throwing an elbow at La Salle’s Oda Tampus during the Tamaraws’ 66-75 loss to the Green Archers last Sunday. The move was considered an unsportsmanlike foul with “intention to hurt,” and it was Garcia’s second of the season. He was also called for an unsportsmanlike foul in the Tamaraws’ game against University of the East in the first round for throwing the ball at Red Warriors guard Lord Casajeros. The UAAP automatically suspends a player who incurs two unsportsmanlike fouls. The Tamaraws, who are on a two-game losing streak, play the UE Red Warriors on Sunday. -- Mornings @ ANC, August 21, 2013
