Baby stolen while mom was sleeping

MANILA – A baby was abducted in Barangay Malanday, Marikina City last Saturday. Rachel Balaro, mother of the baby, believes that her neighbor, only identified as "Lotlot", was the one who abducted her 1-month-old child. Balaro said she fed her child with milk at around 12 a.m. Saturday in Purok 7, but when she woke up at around 3 a.m., her child was already gone. "Gusto niya matulog sa bahay noon… ituloy daw ipaampon yung anak ko. Sabi ko 'bakit ipaampon ko iyun eh anak ko iyun?'" Baloro said. "Nung hinihipo niya yung anak ko sa ulo, sabi niya 'baby sana iyung nanay mo huwag mo kalimutan." Authorities said the suspect may have broke into the house through the open window of the Baloro family. A search around the neighborhood immediately after the baby was reported missing yielded negative results. The Baloro family is set to file kidnapping charges against the suspect.
