MANILA - The Philippine National Police Anti-Cybercrime Group has created a joint task force with the National Bureau of Investigation. This comes after the Supreme Court upheld the online libel provision in the Cybercrime Prevention Act of 2012. The PNP said the joint task force will enable authorities to be more effective in implementing the law. Police Senior Superintendent Gilbert Sosa said authorities plan to beef up cybercrime units across the regions. Currently, the PNP only has forensic laboratories in Cebu, Legaspi, General Santos City, Davao, Cagayan de Oro and Zamboanga City.
