MANILA – A man lost his foot after he was hit by a Philippine National Railways (PNR) train in Manila on Wednesday morning. Max Padon, a 43-year-old construction worker, was about to cross the railway when he was hit by a Tutuban-bound train near the corner of Antipolo and Blumentritt Streets at around 7 a.m. Padon's fellow construction worker, Lito Liaban, said the victim also sustained injuries to his head and other foot. The victim is now at the Ospital ng Tondo. Padon and other construction workers were working on a flood control project in the area when the accident occurred. – report from Noel Alamar, dzMM
