Two small, but brave, dogs manage to fend off a coyote after it bites one of the mutts on the neck at their California home on August 28.
Wally, a 10-year-old Maltese, and Bubba, an 11-month-old terrier mix, were both in the garden of their Orange County home when a coyote attacked.
The coyote is seen approaching Wally before launching a full attack, sinking its teeth into the dog's neck before Bubba rushes over and the pair manage to fend off the wild animal.
Tami, whose security camera caught this footage, told Newsflare: "A coyote snuck into our yard during the afternoon and tried to attack our dogs. The older dog Wally approached the coyote and it grabbed him by the neck.
"This video shows that dog owners need to be extra vigilant and should be very careful about keeping dogs in the yard unattended even for short periods of time. Both dogs are ok! Wally has three small bites on his neck that were treated by our vet."
