The U.S. Joint Chiefs of Staff says North Korea's latest missile launch appears to have come from a sea-based platform... NOT a submarine as the regime claims.
North Korea says it successfully tested a new submarine-launched ballistic missile off its east coast on Wednesday.
However the spokesperson for the U.S. Joint Chiefs of Staff says there's no indication it was launched from a submarine,... adding it was a short- to medium range ballistic missile.
Experts also say the missile could have flown a greater distance if it had been fired at a normal angle,.. and not "in vertical mode".
