World's biggest hotpot will be hitting import expo in Shanghai

SHANGHAI — Feeling in the mood for some hotpot? How about the world's largest hotpot?
According to ECNS, the world's biggest hotpot from Dezhuang Restaurant in Chongqing, will be on display at the second China International Import Expo next month.
The hotpot has a 10-meter diameter, is 1.06 meter high and weighs a whopping 13 tons.

The outer edge of the massive hotpot is made up of 56 smaller pots for people to sit and eat from.
Of course nothing in China would be complete without some good old fashioned CCP propaganda. The 56 pots are supposed to represent the "unity and harmony of the 56 ethnic groups in China."
The hot pot has two different flavors—red and white. It requires 2,000 kilograms of hotpot seasoning, 200 kilograms of pepper, 500 kilograms of chili, and 220 kilowatts of juice, apparently.
Before being sent to Shanghai, since the contraption is so big, it will have to be broken up into eight parts, so that it can be jammed into two shipping containers.
Once it arrives, it will then take workers five days to put it back together again.

It is set to be displayed at the expo's "Intangible Cultural Heritage Hall." So does that mean no one is actually going to eat from it?
