Putin's week, Lebanon and South America protests, Brexit and Da Vinci mania

It’s mission accomplished in Syria: so says the president of the United States. But Moscow has wasted no time since Vladimir Putin's Tuesday deal with his Turkish counterpart. Russian military police have moved in with joint patrols - like in the ethnically mixed Syrian city of Qamishli. All sides have agreed to Ankara's 32-kilometre buffer zone. Putin struck his deal with Erdogan in Sochi just as he was getting set to host the biggest Africa summit on Russian soil since the fall of the Soviet Union, with 43 African leaders from around the continent.
In Lebanon, they are not talking about Trump, Putin, Iran, Israel or Saudi Arabia. They are directing their wrath at their own politicians from across the entire spectrum. And while there has been rejection of the Hezbollah leader in the Shia strongholds of the south, the northern Sunni stronghold of Tripoli has been rejecting its own standardbearers like Prime Minister Saad Hariri.Lebanon is revolting against inequality and politics as usual...
