In such a situation, the CPCB Task Force met on Thursday for the preparations for the festival. During this period, the fuel industry will be closed in Delhi. The EPCA on Friday said that there would be a ban on building activities in the national capital and adjoining suburban cities from 26 to 30 October from 6 pm to 6 am, as air quality reached 'very poor' category before Diwali.

दिवाली के चलते 26 से 30 अक्टूबर तक दिल्ली-एनसीआर में प्रदूषण का हाई अलर्ट रहेगा। 28 अक्टूबर को कोहरे की संभावना भी है। ऐसे में सीपीसीबी टास्क फोर्स ने गुरुवार को फेस्टिवल की तैयारियों को लेकर मीटिंग की। इस दौरान दिल्ली में ईंधन पर चलने वाली इंडस्ट्री बंद रहेंगी। दिवाली से पहले हवा की गुणवत्ता 'बेहद खराब' श्रेणी में पहुंचने पर ईपीसीए ने शुक्रवार को कहा कि राष्ट्रीय राजधानी और आस-पास के उपनगरीय शहरों में 26 अक्टूबर से 30 अक्टूबर तक शाम छह बजे से सुबह छह बजे तक भवन निर्माण गतिविधियों पर प्रतिबंध रहेगा।
