Sony confirmed the 'Playstation 5' name and release date on October 8th, 2019. The upcoming console will feature a new controller intended to provide a more immersive experience. The controller will have haptic feedback, which will replace the “rumble” effect with a “broader range of feedback.” The new controller also boasts adaptive triggers, which will allow users to feel resistance in more detailed manners. 'Wired' had a hands-on preview and noted that the controller looks “an awful lot like the PS4’s DualShock 4.” Sony is also showing off the console's new SSD which means games will take up less space. Fans will have to stay tuned for more details about the release.
