Oyo is not under any exclusive arrangement with MakeMyTrip, says Aditya Ghosh

The Competition Commission of India (CCI) had put out its order which involves companies like MakeMyTrip and Oyo. Specifically when it comes to Oyo the CCI order states that they have not found Oyo to be in dominant position but they have found Oyo to hold a significant position in the market for franchising services for budget hotels in India. Outside of that on the six counts that were taken up by the CCI - on the denial of market access which is the charge against Oyo and MakeMyTrip for keeping Fab and Treebo out of the MakeMyTrip platform that is where the CCI has basically said that an investigation is warranted and the report has to be submitted in the next 150 days. So, the investigation is for alleged violation of Section 3(4) of the Competition Act. To discuss this CNBC-TV18 spoke to Aditya Ghosh CEO-South Asia of OYO.
