This was the beautiful moment a baby's first steps were caught on a home security camera.
Footage from November 3 shows Kimber Critchfield - who only turned one-year-old four days earlier - take steps across the living room floor where he eventually tumbles to applause from his parents.
Kimber's father Matthew told Newsflare: "It brought such joy to my wife and me.
"You seem to think you know how you're going to feel when he inevitably takes his first steps, but it ended up being much different.
"I didn't think I would get emotional to see him take his wobbly steps, and have a huge smile and giggling just makes the stressful parts of being a parent disappear.
"He uses a walker that he pushes around in front of him so he can get his legs used to the motions of taking steps but this was the first time he actually did it without any assistance!
"All in all from first using the walker to walking on his own was about a week or so."
The family who lives in Winters, Texas were happy to be able to have the memory forever.
Matthew later said: "[My wife] started to tear up immediately.
"Though it's hard to see in the video, she immediately got excited and we spent a while getting him to try and walk to his big sister.
"Family members on Facebook loved the video.
"We moved out here to Texas in 2015 with no friends or family out here to start over new.
"So it's always happy/sad feelings around the family when big milestones like this happen since we're halfway across the country from family."
