Unbearable air pollution in India is not only risking people's health there but is also threatening the local economy, as tourists turn their back on one of the country's most well-known cities.
New Delhi is a hot tourist spot well known for its historical buildings and structures.
But according to local media reports, the number of flights arriving in New Delhi from October 27th to November 5th dropped 17 percent compared to the same period last year.
The city's air quality has deteriorated to the "hazardous" category, with a high potential to cause respiratory illnesses.
