After the merger in the banking sector, the Modi government has now taken a major decision to merge three general insurance companies. The finance ministry has issued a cabinet note on the merger of three government general insurance companies. These three companies are
National Insurance Company, United India Insurance Company and Oriental India Insurance Company. Together these three will make the government a big company. After this merger, it will become the largest general insurance company in the country.

बैकिंग सेक्टर में मर्जर के बाद अब सरकार ने तीन जनरल इंश्योरेंस कंपनियों के विलय का बड़ा फैसला लिया है। तीन सरकारी जनरल इंश्योरेंस कंपनियों के मर्जर पर वित्त मंत्रालय ने कैबिनेट नोट जारी किया है। ये तीन कंपनियां हैं
नेशनल इंश्योरेंस कंपनी, यूनाइटेड इंडिया इंश्योरेंस कंपनी और ओरिएंटल इंडिया इंश्योरेंस कंपनी। इन तीनों को मिलाकर सरकार एक बड़ी कंपनी बनाएगी। इस मर्जर के बाद ये देश की सबसे बड़ी जनरल इंश्योरेंस कंपनी बन जाएगी।
