Police arrest school bus driver after boy forced to travel to school hanging from school van

Police arrested a school bus driver in Manvi, Karnataka State, India after a student was forced to travel hanging outside the crowded school bus.

Footage of the incident filmed on November 26 shows the boy going to school while standing on the footrest of the van owned by SUPM Montessori in Manvi in Raichur district.

Police acted immediately after the incident and arrested the driver Ramiah Tippiah, who reportedly said the boy had to stand outside because the vehicle was too packed.

District head of Education department Gonal said he was probing the incident and would take action against all those who erred.
