London Pantomime Horse Race sees panto horses race through Greenwich
The 10th annual London Pantomime Horse Race took place on Sunday (December 15) on the streets of Greenwich.
Participants dressed in outlandish pantomime-horse outfits to run the course, which included a number of pub pit-stops along the route.
Some of the best costumes had Star Wars-themes, including Darth Maul, Yoda and an AT-AT, the legged military vehicle used by Darth Vader's evil forces.
The event raises money for charities including the Rosie's Legs campaign and the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
Panto, short for Pantomime, is a British theatrical tradition popular around Christmas time, that typically involves bawdy jokes, simple fairy tale themes and often a comical horse that is obviously just two actors in a furry suit.
