We drove from Delhi to Spiti in second week of October 2019 . Roads in Spiti are quite good except some bad patches .
Whenever you go to Spiti from Shimla side , you have to cross Kinnaur which has a big bad patch from Powari to Pooh including a blasting zone .This patch is the worst part of your road trip to Spiti .
Here is bifurcation of road patches towards Spiti
1. Delhi to Shimla : Almost very good till Parwano. Parwano to Shimla many bad patches .
2. Shimla to Rampur : Awesome, very good road .
3. Rampur to Powari : Almost good road including 2 lane highway . Though small bad patches in between.
4. Powari to Pooh : Worst road including blasting zone (drive carefully)
5. Pooh to Nako : Almost good road.
6. Nako to Kaza : Almost good road with small bad patches (due to weather).
7. Kaza to Kibbar, Chicham and Losar : Almost good road with small bad patches
8. Losar to Manali : Very bad road or no road ( good ground clearance vehicle needed)
