Assalam-O-Alaikum Friends!
Today in this Video, we will discuss about YouTube COPPA Policy Update. We will discuss about what is COPPA, how has it affected youtube creators and how to set it.
First of all, COPPA means "Children Online Privacy Producyion Act". This is a policy and law approved and applied by Youtube. According to this policy, Youtube is separating Children and Kids Content-based Channels from other ones. Creators need to set and tell Youtube about their channel that their channel is for kids or not. Age Limit for kids is about under 13 years.
Some Creators, who haven't set this yet, may see that their customized ads, live streaming, stories, comments, etc. features are disabled.
If your channel is for kids, then you may not get these features. But if your channel is not for kids, then you don't need to worry because you can get these options back. You just need to open Youtube, then go to Your Channel and Youtube Studio, and then you see a text in Blue Writing or Background. Click Select Channel Settings there, then either you select "Made for Kids" or select "Not Made for Kids", and save it.
Now, your problem will be solved INSHALLAH.
