Villagers in east India discovered liquid diesel flowing from a passage in some rocks by a rice field.
The incident took place on February 8 in Daringbadi hill station located in Kandhamal district, Odisha.
Footage shows a huge crowd surrounding one man who uses a ladle to scoop fuel flowing from between the rocks and collects it in jugs and buckets.
According to reports, hundreds of villagers gathered with containers to collect the discovered fuel.
It is suspected the leak could have come from a nearby gas station as the flow of fuel stopped flowing a day after.
The crowds were reportedly so severe that police were called to control them, and they eventually destroyed the recently irrigated field.
