Panchmel Dal or Pancharatan Dal is a Rajasthani style dal made by mixing 5 different types of lentils - Split Pigeon Peas, Petite Yellow Lentils, Split chickpeas, Split Brown Lentils, White Lentils.
Dal is an Indian dish prepared using various kinds of lentils, vegetables, and spices. It is served with Phulkas, Parathas, Rotis and it tastes best with Zeera Rice
Ingredients :
1 1/2 tbsp Ghee - घी
1 tbsp Cumin seeds - जीरा
1 Cinnamon Stick - दालचीनी
1 Bay Leaf - तेज पत्ता
5-6 Cloves - लौंग
10-15 Curry Leaves - करी पत्ते
1-2 Green chillies (chopped)- हरी मिर्च
1 tsp Ginger (chopped) - अदरक
2 tsp Green Garlic (Chopped) - लहसुन
1 Red Chilli - लाल मिर्च
1/4 cup Onion (chopped) - प्याज
2 Tomatoes (chopped) - टमाटर
1/2 tsp Salt - नमक
1/2 tsp Red Chilli Powder - लाल मिर्च पाउडर
1 tsp Garam Masala Powder - गरम मसाला
1 1/2 Coriander Powder - धनिया पाउडर
Water - पानी
2 tbsp Split Pigeon Peas - तुअर दाल
2 tbsp Petite Yellow Lentils - मुंग दाल
2 tbsp Split Chickpeas - चना दाल
2 tbsp Split Brown Lentils - मसूर दाल
2 tbsp White Lentils - उड़द दाल
Salt - नमक
1/2 Turmeric Powder - हल्दी पाउडर
1 - 1 1/2 Cup Water - पानी
Coriander Leaves (chopped) - धनिया के पत्ते
