Samia Gamal Dances Swing

In this scene, Samia Gamal is in the middle of a dance class. She has just won a lottery prize and she wants to learn to dance like a high class lady so she has hired an instructor to teach her how to dance swing. The woman who is teaching her to dance in this scene was a familiar face in Egyptian films, she was a talented Egyptian dancer and actress known by the name of "Gina". She appeared in dozens of golden era films as a background dancer probably more than any other background dancer and she was a member of the Isaac Dickson dance troupe. Gina was born in Alexandria and was of Armenian heritage.
