On This Day, 2007: Fotsis sets rebounds record

Fotsis set a Euroleague record with 24 rebounds to go along with 22 points. Fotsis bettered the previous rebounding mark of 23, set by Mirsad Turkcan with CSKA Moscow against Buducnost Podgorica in January 10, 2002. He also became just the third player to have at least 20 points and 20 rebounds in a Euroleague game, joining Turkcan and Spencer Nelson, who suited up with Benetton on this night. Only three players - Jordi Trias and Pat Burke in 2008, and Donatas Motiejunas in 2011 - grabbed 20 or more rebounds in a EuroLeague game since then.
