Brad Paisley’s Free Grocery
Store to Deliver Food to Elderly With the coronavirus pandemic sweeping across
the United States, many elderly citizens have
been unable to go grocery shopping. Aside from the lack of items available due to
panic-purchasing, elderly individuals have been
advised to avoid larger public gathering places,
such as grocery stores, for fear of exposure. In response to the issue, Brad Paisley and
his wife, Kimberly Williams-Paisley, have
decided to set up a grocery delivery service
for the elderly in Nashville, Tennessee. Braid Paisley,

areas of Nashville can sign up to receive a week’s
worth of groceries each Wednesday or Thursday. The volunteer delivery service is being run
through the Paisleys' free grocery store, The Store,
which the pair opened just earlier this month. The Store, a project over two years in the
making, is a nonprofit grocery store made in
collaboration with Belmont University. Because of recent CDC guidelines, the Paisleys have
been forced to adapt The Store’s operations, resulting
in its current state of delivery and pick-up only.
