Setlist:
Off My Back
Make It On My Own
Loco
Genre-defying Wanderers have a trademark symphony of moods - the shredding of guitar riffs, dreamy harmonies, funky bass and a general feeling of nostalgia. They crank out rock tinged numbers that build into raunchy, soulful jams.
The duo spent majority of 2018 touring nationally, gracing numerous festival stages including Woodford Folk Festival, Queenscliff Music Festival, Mullum and more. Their early 2018 single ‘Off My Back’ propelled the band to new heights, seeing them featured in numerous Spotify playlists New Music Friday to Low Key Weekend, to reaching #8 in the Viral Australia Top 50 chart. As they slowly settled into the reshaping of their sound, Wanderers found their trademark in providing undeniable grooves, driving beats and vocals that are reminiscent of the Motown era, and now it’s seen the Adelaide natives have continued to win crowds over with their energetic live show.
With us a formidable live band always backing the duo, they have recently released a series of live videos, filmed early in 2019 as they started working towards their debut album. While only a glimpse into the energetic and enthralling live show the expanded six piece provides, there’s a clear musician bond that tells of their time spent touring the world and playing in front of large adoring crowds. 2019 will see some new music from their debut release.
