Malaysia today recorded 36 new Covid-19 cases, the lowest since the implementation of the movement control order (MCO) on March 18.
This brings the total infections to 5,425, according to Health Ministry director-general Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah.
"This is among the lowest number of daily cases," he told a press conference in Putrajaya today.
Noor Hisham also reported that there were no deaths today, the first time since March 20. This means the death toll remains at 89.
He also announced that another 98 patients have recovered from Covid-19 and discharged from the hospital.
As such, a total of 3,295 patients have recovered, or 60.7 percent of total cases.
