This series is about the Turkish warrior Ertugrul from the 13th century, one of the most famous warriors of his time and also the father of Osman (the founder of the Ottoman Empire). He is an ambitious man who wants to bring peace and justice to his people. He is in a war with the Crusaders on one side, the Byzantines on another side and the brutally expanding Mongols who killed a lot of Turks on another side. In between this he is in a psychological war between his love and his so called destiny.
Seeking to solve the unrest, Suleyman Shah sends Ertuğrul on a mission to find a new place for the nomad group to settle. He specifically sends Ertuğrul and his three friends to seek an agreement with the Sultan; an event that sets off the chain of events that ultimately lead to the founding of the Ottoman Empire.
Ertuğrul Bey, who had a tough fight with the Mongols, had to leave his brothers to go after his blessed trial. Kayılar believes in Ertuğrul Bey and they fell on the road after this separation. Kayıları, who went to the borders of Karacadağ in harsh conditions, was waiting for a completely different world here. Their new home would offer them a different climate, different lands and different people. Ertuğrul Bey was aware that he would have stronger and more brutal enemies on the way to his blessed trial. But would the sword's sharpness be enough to defeat new enemies?
Ertuğrul Bey was now in another world. And running horses in this world wanted more intelligence, courage and patience. The Templars, who appeared to be stronger and more brutal, would force Ertuğrul Bey to find new methods for victory. Because Simon, the secret hand of the Templars, was too clever and strong to be killed by a sword hit. Moreover, Simon would not be alone. What would Ertuğrul Bey do when he learned the Muslims who supported Simon? Ertuğrul Bey was in a hell where the swords were silent and the mind games spoke. So would his mind protect him from the fire of this hell?
