Singapore Land Transport Authority workers now living on-site after Covid-19 outbreak in dorms

The number of Covid-19 infections in Singapore surged in April 2020, propelled by clusters of cases among migrant workers living in cramped dormitories. The city state’s Land Transport Authority (LTA) has responded by arranging for temporary housing on-site for some migrant workers employed for LTA projects. The new accommodation allows the workers to maintain a greater social distance in hopes of preventing similar outbreaks in future.
