Over 60 singers and musicians from across Ireland have joined Derry’s Dana to create a special recording of ‘All Kinds of Everything’ 50 years after she won the Eurovision with the timeless song.
Dana, who is currently in lockdown in Australia, was delighted with the end result and dedicated the performance to all health and care workers across the world.
The mammoth project features contributions from 56 singers and 10 musicians involved in Scór - the cultural wing of the GAA in Ireland - and was developed to mark the 50th anniversary ahead of Monday night’s documentary ‘Dana - The Original Derry Girl’ by Waddell Media, which will air on both RTÉ 1 at 9.35pm and BBC 1 NI at 10.45pm, and on BBC Four on Friday May 15 at 11pm.
The project was put together by Gareth McGreevy and features two Derry singers - Hannah Ferguson from Glen Watty Grahams GAC and Kathryn Mullan from Slaughtneill GAC.
