সিলেটের জকিগঞ্জে ট্রাকভর্তি ভিজিএফ'র চাল গোডাউনে নেয়ার পথে, লুট করে নিয়ে গেছে স্থানীয়রা। সকালে উপজেলার কালিগঞ্জ বাজারে এ ঘটনাটি ঘটে। পুলিশ জানায়, জকিগঞ্জের তিন ইউনিয়নের ডিলাররা ভিজিএফ-এর ১৭ মেট্রিক টন চাল, মেঘনা রাইসমিল থেকে কালিগঞ্জ বাজারে তাদের গোডাউনে নিয়ে যাচ্ছিল। বাজারে প্রবেশের পর স্থানীয়রা ট্রাকভর্তি ৫৭০ বস্তা চাল লুট করে নিয়ে যায়। পরে পুলিশ এসে কিছু চাল উদ্ধার করে।
খিদার জ্বালার কাছে করোনার মতো প্রাণঘাতী রোগ যেখানে হার মানে, এতেই প্রমাণিত হয় যে দেশের মানুষের ঘরে কতটুকু সরকারের ত্রাণ পৌঁছেছে। নিশ্চয় এই মানুষগুলো পেশাদার কোন লুটেরাজ নয়।

On the way to the truck-loaded VGF rice godown in Zakiganj, Sylhet, the locals looted. The incident took place at Kaliganj Bazar of the upazila in the morning. According to police, dealers from three unions in Zakiganj were taking 16 metric tonnes of VGF rice from Meghna Rice Mill to their godown in Kaliganj Bazar. After entering the market, the locals looted 560 sacks of rice in a truck. Later the police came and recovered some rice. This is a testament to the extent to which the government's relief has reached the homes of the people of the country. Surely these people are not professional looters.
