Never pay to have your silver jewellery professional cleaned again! Karri from South Australia has gone viral on TikTok (@someone__awesome) after demonstrating how she cleans her old silver jewellery.
Karri posted the cool DIY hack from April 13 on TikTok with the caption, "worked in a jewellery shop and charge $10 just to do this," where it was viewed over 1.5 million times.
First, Karri lines a bowl with aluminium foil and adds her jewellery. She then mixes a couple spoonfuls of bicarbonate soda and hot water, and after two minutes Karri showcases the shiny final product.
She told Newsflare: "This is a simple process to clean 925 silver jewellery at home with things you find in your kitchen.
"I used to work in a jewellery shop and we would often clean customers chunky necklaces and rings. Cleaning regularly keeps them looking like new.
"Costume jewellery and delicate jewellery with or without gems shouldn’t use this process."
