Emma Chamberlain is candid on camera - that's her specialty as a YouTuber. She is unapologetically herself and has been open about her mental health, namely the depression she started experiencing in high school. In a new campaign from The Child Mind Institute called #WeThriveInside, Chamberlain films herself at home discussing how she's been coping with feelings of isolation during the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic in particular.
"I've struggled with depression and anxiety since I was younger, and I know that during times of isolation, it can get a little bit worse," Chamberlain says on camera. To stay positive and take care of herself, she's been connecting with the people she loves, escaping into the world of video games and movies, keeping organized at home, letting her creativity flow by working on art and making YouTube videos, and exercising as much as she can.
