Edgar, who is getting ready to run for the position of the provost at Trinity College Dublin, following his ethics of good business management, joins the discussion group -Questions and Conclusions- to get some criticism on his ideas of what the educational mission statement of a university should be. His own vision of higher education is entrepreneurship skills to maintain a healthy national economy. There, at the discussion table, he meets Alex whose vision for education is to create a harmonious society and Hugo, who wishes to make higher education a training on enlightenment for maintaining a free democratic society. While their three visions are fairly compatible with each other, the interviewing process reveals strong disagreements, inconsistencies and blind spots in all three of them.
