Morning walkers at a park in eastern India's Bhubaneswar found a snake hanging from a garbage bin.

Footage from July 10 shows the snake suspended through a hole, stuck halfway with its head inside.

Responding to a call, Snake Helpline sent volunteer, Purna Chandra Das, to the park

They carefully freed the snake and later released the reptile into the wild.

Subhendu Mallik, the founder of Snake Helpline, said: "The snake had eaten something and was unable to pass its swollen belly through the hole. It was not injured.”
